Phone Phase

My son has a toy telephone that he likes to play with. Many months ago he learned that when you pick up the phone you say “Hello” and then you say “Bye” before hanging up. He would always pick it up and start saying “Hi”. Then when I would play with him I would say “I’ll talk to you later” and he would say “Bye bye” and hang up. Now he goes around the room picking up other toys and pretending they are telephones. Yesterday he walked around the room for about five minutes with a small toy up to his ear and babbling. He really looked like he was on an important phone call.
