Well, my little guy has kept me so busy that I haven’t had any time to update this blog. When I do have a free moment, it is devoted to eating, sleeping, washing bottles, preparing formula, and still trying to pump. I absolutely love being a mother, but it has been overwhelming. I always question whether or not I’m a good mother and if my son is happy.

Last week, I had to return to work. I chose the week of Thanksgiving because it was a short work week which I thought would help me adjust to being back. Leaving my son to go to work has been the most difficult thing I have ever had to do. My third day back was the most difficult because my son was being very cuddly that morning. I think about him all day when I am at work, but it has forced me to work harder so that I don’t have as much to bring home. Balancing work and family is something I don’t know if I will ever figure out, but I will just have to try my best. Although it was difficult going back, my colleagues and my students were all very happy to see me and asked about my son. My students gave me some gifts and congratulated me. They are all so sweet!
